After my initial experience of recording an episode for the ProZ.com Translation and Interpreting Podcast, I am beyond excited to be joining again ProZ.com, this time, for a slightly different purpose. Today, November 30th, I am part of Giving Tuesday, delivering "Make, cast and harvest your net", a marketing seminar for translators and interpreters.
First things first, what is Giving Tuesday? To put it simply, Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that was created in 2012 to encourage people to give back and perform even the simplest acts of kindness on this day, such as making another person smile!
For this global day of giving back, ProZ.com organises a conference with the support of professional translators and trainers from different countries and, over the years, it has raised money for many different charities. The event includes sessions from experts in the profession and a free networking space.
For the 2022 edition of Giving Tuesday at ProZ.com, I had the honour to be invited to deliver "Make, cast, and harvest your net" a marketing seminar at 15:00 GMT. This workshop focuses on marketing fundamentals, such as client personas and social media, while it also covers other important themes, like identifying your brand, defining your niche, building a strategy, and overcoming self-limiting anxieties.
If you are interested in joining the live workshop, you can do so by donating to the environmental organisation, Ecologi, through this link.
P.S. You have no excuse to miss this workshop - we will talk about interesting topics and, more importantly, through your participation, you will donate for a good cause!
