Coronavirus - ITI seals

March 21, 2020

Dear customers,

In relation to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) office team has now switched entirely to home working.

The ITI issues the ITI seal and they are unable to send out any items that are normally kept at the office e.g. seals.

For the time being, I'm afraid Greek to Me Translations has run out. The few of them left are kept for clients that have already placed an order with the seal as a requirement and are attached on first-come-first-served basis.

Good news! There are alternatives!

The authority receiving your translation should not be asking for the ITI seal as a requirement.

ITI-assessed translators have an official, public profile available on

And here is mine

The translation receiving authority can easily and quickly visit the ITI's website and confirm the translator is indeed ITI-assessed and registered.

An ITI seal does not necessarily guarantee that the translator continues to be registered with the Institute. The online profile, however, does.

Furthermore, the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) also has an equivalent seal which Greek to Me Translations has and uses.

The best way, however, for any authority, government body, private sector business receiving a certified translation and wishing to verify the translator's details is to always check and verify the translator's profile against the public registers.

Thank you for your understanding and continuous support in these strange times.

Greek to Me Translations is open as usual and here to help!

UPDATE: The ITI have now access to their stock and seals can be purchased and posted as per usual! Hurrah!
